Into each life some rain must fall
« on: September 30, 2013, 04:16:07 PM »

It's about time I put this thing together.  I had hoped to present a race with constantly changing weather but... well maybe in GT6.  But hey there is still rain so let’s give it a shot.

Since field counts seem to be hit or miss lately I'm putting a 6 car minimum on the event.  The track is big enough I don't think a 3 or 4 car field would be much fun.

Anyways on to the info.

October 20 @ 2pm eastern (can be adjusted to meet participant needs)

Track: Suzuka 60 laps
Weather: 100%
surface water: 100%
changeability: 0
all assists off except for TCS and ABS
weak draft
grip real
damage light
regular standing start
Fast tire wear

Car:
BMW M3 Coupe '07 (premium)
1655 kg
435 hp (broke in + oil change) currently verifying.
Tuning: None except parts listed below.  Rear down force can be adjusted.

Required parts:
Rear Wing B
Close ratio gearbox
fixed sports suspension (the one that can't be adjusted)

Optional Parts:
Front aero upgrade
carbon hood (for looks only must add 5kg ballast in default position)
any fly wheel
any clutch plate
carbon drive shaft
standard gearbox and/or suspension (you can use it if you prefer it but it’s not recommended)

Cockpit view is recommended for the full rain experience but not required.

Also if you wish to try this offline.  Use the same settings above except set weather variability to 1.  You most likely get to experience what I originally intended.  In other words about an hour of rain with the track drying out before the end.

Sunday afternoons can be a bit tricky, but I should be able to attend this.

Ok looks like the date is wrong or there is very little interest so .  For now I'm cancelling.  Perhaps another time.

Well damn.

dlrws6, I would suggest holding this event on a date that doesn't conflict with NFL games.  :P

hehe

Translation:  Any race scheduled for a Sunday start time could be a problem, as 90% of NFL games are played at either 1pm or 4pm on Sundays ;D

I concur

DWTT is usually a full room, last couple of weeks we've barely half filled it.
