Caution Procedure

--Eligible Cautions--

1 lap procedure

-If only 1 car spins, crashes, or receives damage, a 1 lap caution may be called.
-Only drivers involved in an eligible incident may call the caution.

3 lap procedure

-If 2 or more cars spin, crash, or receive damage, a 3 lap caution may be called.
-Only drivers involved in an eligible incident may call the caution.

--Pace procedure--

-Pit lane is OPEN at all times.

-The current race leader and the field, at the time the caution is called, will race back to the start/finish line, before slowing to pace speed.
-The leader will control the pace speed and restart.
-Please slow to pace speed by turn 1.  (plenty of time to slow safely)

-There will be NO passing under caution, after you cross the line.
-Passing under caution is allowed ONLY during pit stops.
-You may exceed pace speed after a pit stop, to catch up to the field before the restart.

-All damaged/involved cars MUST restart at the end of the field.  (even if you come out of the pits ahead of others, fall to the back of the field.)
-All lapped cars MUST start behind damaged/involved cars.  (or at least try to.)

-Restarts will always be at the start/finish line at the conclusion of the last pace lap. (lap 1 or 3)
-The leader will call out the "GREEN FLAG".  (even if your not at the line yet, GO!)

-No cautions may be called for the last 5 laps of the race.  (we will finish under the green flag)

-There will be a limit of 10 cautions per race.  (5 for the first half, 5 for the second half.)

If the majority prefers no cautions, we can do that, but damage will be set to light as a result.

Your call fellow racers...

Caution - II

No caution -

If I am going to go through with running the full distance and the other parameters are set to emulate real life then I would rather have bog damage and cautions

For these type of long races I prefer to go full Sim style.  To me that is part of where the fun lies.

Also have they fixed rollings starts yet? We may have to grouper ourselves.

Not fixed as of a few days ago.  It is funny to watch.   :D

If any one is interested and if nothing else is going on this Saturday I may spend some time turning same laps.  I'll set up a room much like I did last weekend for Undy.  Right now my plan is to work on long runs to get some numbers for fuel and tire wear and see if/how the pitstop glitch affects the cars.

A firm day/time for this would probably help with the signups.

I know I can't run on Fridays but Saturday might be possible.

Well scratch the practice session for this weekend. Perhaps I'll have time next weekend.  If its not too late.  Should this race be soon.  But really soon not Kaz "Soon".
