I wish I knew.  I don't think they were there last year either.

One of these years I'm going to go anyways just to say I went, but with no GTLM my interest goes way down.

Most likely because they are on their way to Le Mans. Or already in Le Mans (today 5/31 is a test day).  With the exception of the one private P2 car in IMSA, all the cars that raced in Detroit are not eligible to race at Le Mans.  Which also happens to be in two weeks.

Event update:  Petit Le Mans this weekend and Road Atlanta.  Viewable on Fox Sports 2 and the IMSA App.


Also starting 2017 the prototype class will use a modified set of the new P2 regulations and the class will be called Daytona Prototype international  or DPi.
