So the last guy in, is in with a 15.745.

There's no doubt in my mind I could have been at or below that.  On my 15.998 lap, I missed a shift and probably lost a couple tenths.  :(

Even though I'm not eligible, it would be cool to know I could have made it.

And hell, my driving infraction that I believe excludes me was almost 20 years ago.  My record is clean now.  Perhaps I would be eligible?

Oh well, there's always next year.

dang... the competition does seem thinner than in past years.  I bet you probably could have made it, Wiz!

Like you said, knowing you could have done it is a consolation in and of itself.

Without knowing what happened 20 years ago, I'm going to say yes you would be eligible. As I believe the longest something stays on your record is 8 years.

Also, the black ufo works at the Subaru dealer around the corner. So lets throw some tuna good luck wishes to Mr Ufo. :)

That reminds me of something I may have said here before... don't recall.  That last year during Academy Time Trial phase, I had a pretty intense dream of making it to the finals and being really worried my blood tests would not allow me to continue ;)

Therefore, anyone who thinks they might in a hell's snowball chance of making it, should probably stop doing certain activities a month or two ahead of time :D

Mushrooms it is then 8)

Anyone gonna be watching the live stream???

I am thinking about it.  It's just hard for me to get pumped to watch someone else watch TV.

Pulling for Steven (Forgetful), as he has been a friend since the very beginning of GT Prologue.

Good luck guys!!!

I won't be able to watch because it will be on during work. It's so cool that they are live streaming it now, I remember when we went the first year we were under an embargo contract and couldn't say anything to anyone until they announced it. Times have changed!

I'm also rooting for Forgetful, I'm glad he made it!

Great effort also Wiz, keep plugging away if the program is offered in future years, like Dude said - the infraction may actually be erased. It's worth a shot.

Hey all, I met Steve at the airport and we rode in to NYC together. It's awesome here. I can throw a stone to Times Square. I'm so pumped for some racing. I'll try to keep you all updated as we go. Thanks to the tunaverse for helping to mold me into an academy worthy racer!!

Hey there Tguns, glad you made it too! I haven't raced much over the past few years so I am not sure if we've shared the track, but if you're a Tuna your a good fish. Keep calm, stay focused, and you'll be in windy colder than shit Silverstone before you know it.

Best of luck. Also, tell Steven SpecMiata said hello and good luck!

Jordan just mentioned that tguns did well yesterday in the real car autoX stuff.  And is doing well today in the game portion.  Way too early to say, but he may be taking a trip over the Atlantic soon.

Edit:  and he just barely beat Forgetful just now with a pretty nice pass on the last corner of Ascari in the rain.

Jordan mentioned how well Tommy did in the autocross yesterday. It sounds like Silverstone is very close.
