grabbed it!  I thought about downloading this the other day from that site because I saw it wsa popular... usually that means "people like this, so it's probably made well" but never got around to it.  Now, I have a reason

I'm really impressed by how professional some of these mod tracks are looking!

Blackwood is an original/fantasy track from the game Live For Speed.  It's a great track and should be pretty easy to learn.

Turn 3 on the map doesn't exist on the version we are running.  It was the only map I could find online and I was too lazy to fix it.

Interestingly, the original rF2 port of Blackwood wasn't an illegal ripoff.  The guy got permission to do it as long as he made it clear that it was an LFS track.  The original does not have a chicane along the straight.

Permission was granted for this AC version as well.

I think I read that the LFS guys said that since it's their free demo track, they didn't care too much about converting it to other games since it would be good/free advertising.

I like this track, but I have a problem.

I spun out one of the first laps I did ("really? ... WOW") and I think I crossed a hidden checkpoint while in the dirt/grass
When I resumed in the right direction, the Red/White "WRONG WAY DUMBASS" circle was showing on the screen.

I figured it was stuck for that session and would fix itself.  A weird bug.

Last night I loaded it up again, only to see the same problem.  This problem does not exist on other tracks.

Deleted Blackwood folder in AC, then installed from .zip once more.

Same problem.

What the fuck???

that could be it... DOH>...  just ASSumed that you always turn right....  WOW.  Okay it's a fantasy track so I feel a little better

Yup, turn left.

I had a hunch that's what happened because I did the same thing the first time I drove the track too.

Off the top of my head, you turn left at both Interlagos and Taruma.
