It appears no one cares about this, but I'll mention I got an invite to this beta last night, but only got about 10 minutes on it this morning. Look forward to checking it out after work.

To be fair, I care. I'm just not set up to race on PS4 yet. Or even play online at this point. Hopefully I get to enjoy this new game, but my luck is it will arrive at the same time the baby does  ::)

Holy carp! You got a baby on the way? Congrats man, it's a major responsibility, but they sure are fun.

The beta has race events, where you can run against others online. Out of 5 attempts, I only manage to get in one race. Got disco'ed from the others before the races started.  :P

Lot better experience with the beta tonight. Ran 7 races, and not a single disconnect, even managed to win one at Willow Springs.

I got one too Chrome, but I don't think I'm as enthusiastic about it as you.  Only played maybe an hour last night, aparently qualifying for online races.  :-\

P.S.  Congrats on the news Stepper!

The novelty wore off pretty quick.
Activities are very limited, so you're mostly TTing when there's no races going on. As y'all know, I'm not much for TTs so I get bored in no time.

Tried out the record, and upload feature straight from the ps4 last night. It really drops the video quaility, before you even send it to you tube.

Typical public racing, had a couple dive bombers, avoided one, the other acted like I wasn't even there. Karma got him though, I was able to keep going.

I've seen preorders on Amazon and EBGames (Canadian version of GameStop).  Release date is dec 31 at Amazon and Dec 28 at EBGames.  Probably based on PD's "promise" to ship the game in 2017, even if it's impossible they ship a week after Christmas.

Haven't registered for the Beta yet since I don't have a PS4 yet.  The Beta doesn't seem to be available to Canadian players yet (I've read that people cheat by creating a USA PSN user).

On PS4 you need to pay a monthly fee for the PSN ?  I played GT6 online 1 or 2 times in the last year.  If I don't have more time to play online it will be quite expensive to pay the PSN for a few nights per year.  I will probably need to pay the PSN anyways just to get the game updates.

The PS3 is used solely to play LEGO games.  For now I play Lego Lord of the Rings with my 6 years old.  Not too much time left for racing.  I spend an hour or 2 every 2 weeks on seasonal events.
