Looks like a roaster today, humid as hell and about 94°. ForTUNAtly the weather breaks for us tonight/tomorrow. Good luck to those down south.  :o

Already 32 with the humidex.  Tomorrow looks slightly cooler but it is back to hot weather after that.

Hot and getting hotter here in the mountains. The nights and mornings aren't too bad, but by 3:00pm we're roasting and watching the skies for the random thunderstorm. I shouldn't complain, but we've really got enough rain for now. The low spots squish when you walk on them. :)

Hot and humid Continental weather, now.

It has been so long since we have had any rain, we can now see which lawns have sprinklers and which ones don't.

97 with a heat index of 115 yesterday.  Already 92/106 today. 

My pool water is already starting to get warm, so last night I hooked up the fountain.  The fountain usually keeps the water a few degrees cooler--thermodynamics or some shit like that.

Currently 98/112 out.  Not really pleasant out. 

I remember being in Vegas a few years ago and finally learning what a 'dry heat' was.  It was 105-110 during the days and I rarely worked up a sweat even when walking from casino to casino.  My mom was bitching the whole time about me not drinking enough water because it was so hot out and all I drank was beer.  Then I told her I hadn't sweated since we got there and she backed off.

The humidity is one of the worst parts about mid-west living.  It can be 79 degrees out, but with high humidity you can't see because the sweat burns your eyes.

I would have been concerned if you told me you weren't sweating. Not sweating doesn't mean you are cool enough to not sweat. Lack of sweat, in high temps, is a sign of dehydration. Even in a dry heat, you sweat a little, certainly not like places with a lot of humidity, but you still sweat.

The humidity is what kills us around here, too. (NC) For the past several weeks the air has been very "thick" to the point that some days I feel I've grown a set of gills. Or, need to.
