 Well winter has arrived with out snow. This morning it was 15 degrees, -9 c for others. The lake is froze over and will say that way until at least May of next year! Another week or so and you will be able to play hockey on it and almost drive a car on it.

We are leaving Myrtle Beach Saturday at 1:45 and hope to be just ahead of Sandy.

Winds should be high as well as heavy rain but I'm hoping we are just ahead of the brunt of it.

Should be interesting.

When we get home we will have to brace for her again as I believe it should hit Toronto on Tuesday/Wednesday.

I am thinking good thoughts for anyone in the North/East.

I can't get why people hate the snow.  No offense meant at all, grumpy, you know I'm from Vermont.  We used to get feet of the stuff.

Maybe it's because we only have the wet and dry seasons out here, but I miss the snow.  The utter quietness that a snowstorm produces is one of the greatest sounds in nature.

I hope every year that we get snow and that it sticks around.  Every year I am disappointed.

Believe it or not, I am very envious that you have snow.

The world should have 4 seasons.  I'm missing 2 of them.


Also, I like shoveling the drive way and sidewalks.  It's like gardening to me.  I'm alone with my thoughts for the time that it takes.

I am sorry that you hate it so much.  I'd take it from you if I could!

 Don't really hate it Boston, just getting to old! Also people forget how to drive in the snow, from one year to the next. That is what i hate!
