Yeah, I know how you feel, GrumpyTuna. I lived up north enough, when it was cold then, that I have had enough of it, too, and I'm trying to move a degree and a half further south still. My brothers and I shoveled enough snow that it's time to pass that baton on to a younger generation. We just don't get as much anymore and, in the city, snow usually means slush - a dirty mess.

Beautiful snow!  Took my son out on his sleigh this morning.  It's still snowing.  Too bad I have to drive to work.  I suspect that it won't be very busy at work.  We actually have snow in the forecast for Christmas.  Of course there is also rain in the forecast but hopefully it will snow and stick.

Fucking rain is washing away all the fucking snow.

Our new multibillion dollar bridge had to be closed yesterday.  Apparently ice was falling off the cables and smashing through peoples windshields.  Ice in Canada?  Who'd a thunk it.  Fucking engineers.  Reminds me of the time in Montreal when the new commuter trains were getting shorted out because the wheels were kicking snow up into the electronics.  Snow in Montreal, your kidding.  Company that built the trains was from Quebec as well (Bombardier).

I find it quite entertaining that Bombardier built something that couldn't handle the snow. My father is currently working for a Bombardier dealership after many years at a Yamaha/Polaris one.

Weather in Oshawa is not really that winter-like. It's a bit chilly some days, but often warmer than freezing (0/32) and rain is more likely than snow.

Keep dreaming of a white Christmas. That's as close as most will get this year.
