Been snowing since about 6:30am eastern, and is suppose to all day. Tomorrow is supposed to be the bad stuff. Heavy ice/snow mix all day long.

That sounds like how the Great Lakes region is supposed to be in the winter.  Sort of.  We get the coldest of cold, but then it will warm up for a week sometimes too, teasing us that spring is here, but then it freezes again the next day.

We haven't had our February warm-up yet... I want to see the Goundhog get in a fist fight with Al Gore at this point...

As the winter weather moves northwards it's now started snowing up in my neck of the woods too.

We got about 8". Snowed from 8:30am, til about 3pm, with a little sleet mixed in there at the end. They're still calling for a little more tonight, and tomorrow.





My work was closed today, and probably will be tomorrow too. Getting paid to sit at home.  :)

That just screams cookies.  Or, doughnuts as some people put it.

Reverse as fast as you can, throw it into neutral, slam the e-brake, crank the wheel, reverse cookies/doughnuts for days, slam it into first and pull out (like my wife says) of the slide.  Repeat, repeat, repeat.  Mad fun!!!

79F today and it feels a bit warmer, I actually prefer it closer to 75.  :)

I think we're finally done with the snow. Had to shovel my driveway, as I'm pretty sure I'm going to be expected at work tomorrow.  :'(

Try going down an ice-covered runway at 45mph and pulling the ebrake. Just whipping around in circles. Fun stuff... not that I know.

Not fun is attempting to do the same thing as a passenger in an MGB, hitting a patch of dry pavement and launching the thing into a snow bank. At least I wasn't the driver who had to walk back to the office with his tail between his legs and ask for a tow.

Best. Job. Ever.

That reminds me of a story from back in my undergrad days.  We had a large snowfall which the school grated into large snowbanks between the rows of parking.  One of the guys in my classes (who no one really liked) bought a four-wheel drive jeep or something like that.  He decide that he was going to drive his 4wd over the snow bank but he went straight over instead of at an angle so he ended up getting stuck at the top of the snow bank.
