Does that require me getting a PS+ subscription or anything? Or is just an online thing? I am so out of the loop not sure how it all works now.

Yeah kinda figured and I'm not even wired in yet just been playing single player enjoying driving again and trying to find some rhythm so I can be at least a bit competitive when I do get out there.
