Cannot get through update to make any assessments. Just thought I would let y'all know what I think so far.

I had no trouble updating about 4 hours ago. It only took a couple of minutes. Maybe PD servers are busy now?

I had to first update through the master account ..... Agent account kept crashing.  No problems now.

Spoke to Sony they were little to know help. This sucks I like the consoles because they help the less tech savy and we still get shit like this

Is the Baked account the Master on your PS3?  If not, log into your Master Account and then update.  It worked for me cause I was having all kinds of problems.

I also disconnected my wheel ... it was flipping out, so I used a controller

Try disconnecting the wheel as Agent suggested.

It is a wired connection plugged directly into the modem I have unplugged the wheel. The master account may not even be on the ps3 anymore but the tech at sony assured me this is not the issue at hand. Honestly he could have been talking out his ass for all I know.

I updated last night and saw that it was going to take 39 minuted to complete. I was farting around with my furnace and just walked away to let the ps3 do it's thing. I went back after about 20 minutes and it was at 96%.

Usually it goes fairly fast, maybe 3-5 minutes but it must have been busy last night for it to take that long.

I had to reload the update after trying to load a car for another game (ya, I know) then I had to reload 2.09. Took 45 minutes.

I'd read that it was a 'large' update.  I thought I'd get it started and then take a shower but it loaded so fast I just sat and watched, had it done in a couple minutes.  Sounds like some of us got lucky and others, not so much.

I hope Baked got his issue worked out .... Mine really complained.  I hit the OK button to start the update, screen went black and stayed there, my wheel was flipping out going back and forth multiple times, and then the dreaded long beep from the PS3 and it would shut itself off.  This happened a number of times.

Thats when I logged into the main PS3 account and unplugged the wheel.  Update was perfect and lickity split. Not sure what that was all about on the Agent account, but it wasnt good.
