Speed Limit: FLOORBOARD

When his wife goes into a troubled labor while he is on the road over 1200 miles away James Kowalski...

<movie synopsis>

When his wife goes into a troubled labor while he is on the road over 1200 miles away James Kowalski, an ex race car driver and a former Army Ranger, attempts to elude police while trying to get home. After numerous chases he turns into a Native American reservation and reflects on his life, and his wife. He then heads off to break through an impenetrable police and FBI roadblock.

Ah…  “Vanishing Point”  Wile Viggo’s version may not quite stand up to the classic, it gives us a good reason to update our vehicles.  Grab yourself a 2008 Dodge Challenger and tune it however you FUCKING desire.  The new Challenger is a little heftier than its older sister so we’re adjusting the weight limits accordingly.

The car for this evening must be no lighter than1500kg.  Whatever kind of kink you can squeeze out of her is up to you the only restriction tonight is weight…

Now Playing: “Vanishing Point” (1997)
When: Saturday, April 28rd, 2012
Where: Daytona Road Course, Monza (no chicane), Le Sarthe 2009
Showtimes: Matinee- 2-5pm. Drive-in- 7-11pm (all times Eastern)
The Car(s): 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT ’08  (No RM or TC allowed)
Horsepower Limit:  n/a
Weight Limit:  1500kg
PP Limit:  n/a
Tires:  Racing Softs  MEDIUMs
Lap Count:  Enough for 3-4 races per hour

HEAVY SLIPSTREAM will be in effect  (based upon last night's racing, this is not necessary for FUB)

Wrules and Wrinkles:

Race Fast!  Race Hard!!  Race Clean!!!  Have FUN!!!!

Our event participation guidelines are very simple. We ask that all drivers race hard, fast and clean. Participants should control their cars as if they owned them and avoid in-race contact with others. If your actions disturb the forward progress of another driver we ask that you pull over or slow down and allow the other driver to regain his position ahead of you. Have fun!

Ronin hope you are feeling better soon. And not to rub salt in a wound but man was the racing enjoyable, tough, rewarding and fun. Thanks to those that shared the track with me and to Charlie for putting it ll together for all pf us every week. It was about tire degradation and being able to give and take with your fellow racer. And for me it came at a time where i have been feeling some GT blues. Ran up front some, won one or two also took some lumps with good crowd. Thanks again everyone :-)

I wanted to get out for some of this, but the kids were crazy last night, then I decided to watch a movie. I'm glad it was fun. Looked like a cool setup.

Hope you feel better soon Ronin!

And as Baked said it was an awesome night's racing, thanks Charlie and everyone!  With any luck there should be some great pics to come out of the replays I saved, there was some great racing all over the track, people running bumper to bumper and door to door, there one loads of memorable moments and battles (both my own and ones I could see other folks having) all night long and one particular I remember was between Baked and I at DRC.  I lost count of how many times we swapped spots back and forth through the course of that race, it was many though that's for sure and it was epic fun all the way!

Also thanks Flash, glad you liked it Smiley
