A naive drifter runs away from his army father in hopes of making it on the car racing circuit.
In Las Vegas, a naïve young drifter meets a young scam artist who develops a crush on him. He is then introduced to a whole gang led by a young hustler. The racer-to-be then gets a lesson in the wild side, getting involved in one situation after another.
Patsy Kensit makes a cameo as another hustler and Daryl Hannah appears as the scam artist's surrogate mom.
Except for Patsy Kensit and Daryl Hannah, the movie is kinda lame. I guess no one bothered to tell the director the Number 1 rule. “What happens in Vegas STAYS in Vegas.
This movie should have stayed there.
However, there is a nice Vette (1974) in the movie which gives us an opportunity to break out the two 1969s. So get in your choice of the hardtop (premium) or the ragtop (standard) and tune it as you wish to a “classy” spec of
535pp , strap on a pair of racing hard tires, then join us for a day of oval/road racing at the Indy Speedway.
