^You could try adjusting your brake bias more towards the front (if you haven't already).  Stock is 5/5.  Going to 5/3 or so should help.

I'll see if that helps.

Also, I fixed my tune. I had ride height listed backwards. On a twitchy car like this, I'll have my front end closer to the ground. This is probably more important at Laguna than at Sarthe.
My actual setting would have been -10/-5.

Seeing you's guys fast lap times doesn't worry me nearly as much as the sand pits, lack of runoff in 05, and my own driving do :P

Looking forward to tonight, have fun guys!

This should be interesting tonight. I haven't run a single lap on this track.

Not ever!    Look out if you see me coming.

caution to everyone... check your car immediately before entering track.  My car got switched to Sports Softs while I was practicing in Lounge earlier, and I thought I was just sucking hardcore.  Turns out wrong tires.

there really isn't that much difference between offline and online now days, and for this track, hardly any difference at all.

if you're just trying to practice your line around the track, do so in offline Practice mode so you can see your ghost and look for places to beat it.

the first S curve after the start is going to be tricky.  please those with cars in front, brake a little early there and once we're through that we shouldn't be bunched up any more for the rest of the race.

but that is a place where one person could ruin the race for a lot of people...

Great racing last night!  Used to be I never really cared much for the La Sarthe tracks but I started really enjoying the 2005 layout a lot a while back for some reason and had a blast last night!  Spent the first 4-5 laps riding along on Exbox's drafty coat tails :), never could quite get enough of a jump on that NSX to make a pass stick but had a lot of fun trying, after some pitting I ended up behind Turbo and we spent a few laps dancing in the draft too.

As with Daytona Road a few races back it all came down to tire wear / pit strategy, I almost managed a 1 stop race but after a nasty slide near the end of lap 5 I decided to get tires which meant by the end of lap 11 I probably should have pit again but I figured "what the heck" and drove a particularly tender-footed (well tender-thumbed since I use a controller) last lap that felt like my tires were made of butter  .

Goos times :).

Sorry guys but I bailed after 2 laps. I didn't have a chance to practice at all on this track and probably haven't turned a lap there since license tests over a year ago.

I spent more time in the sand than on the track and wasn't having even the slightest bit of fun. While I wouldn't have been in anyone's way until maybe the 1/2 way point I'm sure I would have been a distraction.

While I know quite a few tracks and can run fairly well considering that I don't have time to practice I can't go to a place like that and keep up let alone stay on the track.

Anyway I hope everyone had a goos time and I will be there for Rome.

Understandable LLF, sometimes there just isn't a chance to practice.  Looking forward to seeing you in Italy!

Congrats to Turbo for back to back wins!  And congrats to everyone for a fun race.  Seemed like a lot of close and clean fun last night, though personally I spent 80% of the race mid pack with no one in sight of me (front or rear).  My dang Supra lost 18 horsepower over the course of the race.  Could have sworn my oil was fresh.  Oh well I doubt an additional 7 PP would have elevated me to the front of the field.  To beat Turbo or exXbox I think an additional 20 PP would be needed...or maybe a Honda product :laugh

The race schedule returns us to a city course after a long streak of purpose built track so...look out for those walls!

Very fun race indeed. Ex put down a kickass Q time - over a second better than mine. I had a bad start due to a qualifying 'glitch', and in the first few laps, I had a lot of offs while those two ran away from the pack. Poor Dawson had an off early on lap 1 which made him fight his was back from the start. Ex pitted early, and I got in some good laps with Feldynn. Ex realized too late that he had to pit a second time, and that handed me the win. I really think you could have won had you pitted after 8 or 9.

Very good driving guys. In the end 'strategy' decided the race...the fastest driver on track didn't win this week. That's the way it goes sometimes.

yea I know I'm really kicking myself for not having a better pit strategy going in.

should have stayed out when I had feldynn apparently staying out right behind me.  should have learned that lesson after DRC.

also should have pitted around 9 or 10 in order to save the lead I had.  mathematically I could have pulled ahead of turbo again since I would be only a few seconds back (had 20 sec lead) and fresh tires while his would have started to get pretty worn.

everything's a learning expereince I guess!
