Not only are the paints not tradable, the cars also cannot be borrowed apparently and they are also one off deliveries so if you choose to apply non-removable parts (engine / weight stages, assuming they can be applied) then you're stuck with them and can't get a second car.

The more I hear about this DLC pack the less enthusiastic I'm becoming, especially with the delay putting it back to the same day as BF3 is released.  Hopefully the impending "bone-us" gift will be something half decent.

C'mon 11 you think they put in the DLC button if this was a one time thing? I am betting we will get tagged 4 times a year right up until they release 6. Getting a mound of cash they have not been able to raise in between other versions of the game.

 :stoopid:

They got a chance to make some more money off of us, I'm sure they'll milk it for as much as they can.

But the question is: will they have anything good to sell us or will it be rm'd cars and fancy paints and coloured socks and gloves for our avatars.

I'm sure it will be. Half decent, that is.  ;)

As far as I remember, all of the above comments are similar to ones we made when PD first announced the first GT5 product name (whatever it was) for the "empty shell, everything is DLC" version, many years ago, now. These issues won't go away, and I don't like them any more today than I did then. They will still cause the same problems today that we pointed out then, too.

GTTV may be gone because we didn't buy into it enough (there was nothing worth buying), so maybe the same thing can happen with DLC.

DLC has its advantages, yes, but it also has some disadvantages.

Assuming you can get it to refresh right (I think I had to click on his twit name somewhere), Kaz has been twitting about the "DLC linked to one account" issue..

https://twitter.com/#%21/Kaz_Yamauchi

.. what I don't get is if the existing DLC (Pre-order stealth cars, Edge Special Camaro and I assume Chromelines) works for multiple accounts on the same console why won't this?  My first assumption is they've programmed it directly into the game / ID itself, perhaps because it's paid for now, or something similar where as the previous stuff was programmed in a much more generic way so once it was downloaded to the console it was available to all.

The impression that I got was that since they wanted to make it so you could buy it several times (probably for paints), they couldn't do it the same way as the existing DLC.

Can you add a wing in GT Auto...or is this a 'Standard' model?

What's the opposite of half decent?  Half bad!!!!

I'm hoping it's a RM Yugo or a RM La Car.

The entitlement to these non-onetime DLC ’ s can ’ t be attributed to the PS3 console.

There just isn ’ t a good solution for this I can think of.

but there is nothing like that in the PSN setup, and we can only assign the entitlements per User ID.

t would be best if we could attribute the entitlement to use the DLC items to multiple accounts in the same PS3,

Resolving the problem with using the DLC on multiple accounts, is not simple.

And how would that work?
:think

When I go to PS Store it should show an icon saying i purchased it (by buying the bundle) already.  I know this from LBP and other DLC I have purchased.  Or did they change the PS Store to make this work?  What's to keep me from using Account Management to re-download it?

Also also...  The DLC for other "racing" games are usually cars that folks actually want :drool and not just some rehash of existing cars  (in which, btw, they don't even reuse the interiors of "like" PREMIUM versions to create better STANDARD versions.  :nono  "Let's use a Mask..."  :mask )  or a preponderance of other versions of the same :fuck ing :jp cars.

Granted in other DLC it may even be cars you can "earn" in the game -- you pay to get them earlier in the process.

DLC is a GREAT idea...  But the Kaz/PD implementation seems like a after-thought bordering on a cluster :fuck

:huh  given that past performance is the best judge you have of future behavior, I guess I shoulda known it would be...

I don't think that you can redownload this content.  They wanted to make the paints one time use which wouldn't work if you could redownload it all the time.

To me the tracks are what I would expect from DLC: not terribly expensive and add considerable value to the game.  I can handle $5 for two tracks.  On the other hand the cars aren't very impressive, modified versions of cars already in the game and the paints are even worse since you can only use them once.
