Well, Here's my take on this new car:

I can only say one thing" They took the FUCKING BURLAP off the Fucker

BFD!

This one is the Dyson version, it sucks but at least it's bagless  :laugh.

Also, at least it was free, be glad we didn't pay for it ;D.  See, every silver lining has a touch of grey..

Is there a way to change the color before you download from the store?  This gray color looks like shit.  I want red.

Doubtful.  I think you have to go to the dealership and buy the red one.

If they gave us the red one, how many of you would have bought the gun-metal grey?

Not me, but I have no intentions of buying more than one no matter what the colours.

Considering it's use (to me) outside of events specifically tailored for the car itself is marginal at best, due largely to it being a modification prohibited bagless prototype, I'll probably use it once or twice for the initial "new car" events and then retire it to the prototype graveyard with the others.

Well the new PP recalculation system they put in with the latest patch seems at first glance to be :fucking awful.

Case in point:  Corvettes.. everyone likes those.

The new Bagless Prototype C7:  unmodified = 526PP / 464hp / 1500kg or close
The '90 ZR-1 C4:  fully modded, no wing = 519PP / 752hp / 1302kg or close

Granted there's a 20+ year gap in technology but somehow I don't think that really justifies almost a 300hp / 200kg advantage at around the same PP does it?

After a brief run through my garage this morning I see cars in multiple states of tuning that have lost anywhere from 15-60PP.  Even race cars, the Super GT car I used for the seasonal (au Cerumo Supra) was over 600PP with it's current tune because I'd had the power reduced to about 598PP.  Same tune but now with no power reduction it's only making 587PP, I think it dropped close to 20PP.

The Ford Mustang GT V8 premium thingum has gone from a dealership stock 443PP down to a classy 390PP, there are plenty more too.

This likely means any PP based events that were planned in the near future (particularly involving FR cars, haven't checked anything else yet) will have to be completely retested due to this "improvement".   >:(

Earlier today, I pointed this out to SCEA, so I hope they take the observations seriously.

Moreover, I hope they take YOU SERIOUSLY.   Apparently, PD does something and then it's left to SCEA to tell them they effed up.  Wait, I misspake......we find their screw-ups, you notify SCEA, they opt to either just listen or do nothing (hold on, isn't that the same thing? LOL).  After considerable pleading, groveling and begging, they MAY elect to ADJUST the setings (never admitting that they effed up.  Oh, wait, KY can do no wrong.

Sorry for the rant MGT, but it seems to be the REAL "Neverending Story".

Why do they find it necessary to do stupid shit like this? ( that was rhetorical) Why not just leave the :fucking PP and HP ratings alone and go for a Livery Editor and some new tracks....
Hell, we'll even pay for 'em.

To balance it out a little we all know there is a selection of cars that both under perform and over perform for their respective PP, so I think they were trying to fix that but just ended up going over the top and screwing it up for most cars rather than fixing it for those that needed it.

500PP has always been a good indicator (for me) as there are some cars like the Lotus Evora and Elise that are simply out perform almost anything at that level while there are other cars like the Ford Mustang GTs, the 90s Chevy Camaros, TVR V8S, the 90s Mercedes SL 500 / 600 and some others that mostly just blow against anything other than themselves.

How's that saying go.. the road to hell is paved with poorly laid idea-cobbles on in an incorrectly programmed mortar base?

Tell me about it. I was shaking my head, the other day, after having to repeat stuff about the store / DLC not working right. Like, I send e-mail so that there is a record of what I write and it doesn't vanish into the ether.
