2 maintenance periods, 2 days apart, for a 2 hour duration.

Why not combine it into 1 big update?  I already know the answer.  Do maintenance, wait to hear  that something else got effed up, do maintenance again.

If you get a chance in the morning, check out the PS Blog.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/

Very nice MGT.

Not having done this before, I wasn't sure how to go about it. There wasn't a lot of time and, after seeing how they massaged what I sent in, probably would have done it a bit differently.

Kind of a quiet reaction to it, though, considering. I haven't noticed any infux of new members showing up. :'(

Proof SEMA is rigged!

I've got proof that SEMA is rigged.  This car obviously should have won:

Too bad it won't be in GT like it should be.  At least I know how I'm getting to BigRek's place when the Zombie apocalypse starts.  Heck, I may just take the scenic route.

The 2.11 update is live and it rolls back the PP system to 2.09 standards. The loading bug is fixed, too.

There are two other changes, both of them less critical than these. See the News item.

I might just pull a PD, reset the numbers to the 2.09 standard and not worry about it :D.

Maybe when I get home tonight I can upgrade to 2.11. I had a feeling the PP would be reset to prior that is why I didn't fuck with engine mods on too many cars.

Anyone notice anything exciting in 2.11? I wish they would correct the non linear fuel consumption in fast or very fast setting.

I noticed that if you aren't signed in to PSN when you upgrade GT5, the upgrade fails and the machine reboots.  If you are logged in, it works fine.

Says that it "fixes" tires in rain and that when you need to change tires based on track water levels may have changed.

I think we were using:
less than 30% - stick with racing tires
30-35% - switch to racing intermediates
65-70% - switch to racing rain

I was just getting used to setting evnets by HP/KG -- though I still think the horsepower breaks in the lobbies are all :fuck ed up.  You can't set 300hp or 500hp (GT300 and GT500).  You can't set 375hp (classic Chevy HP rating)   I've never understood why it couldn't be set in increments of 1 like PP...

So with the 2.11 update, PD is saying, in regards to the 2.10 update, 'my bad?'
